Choosing PVC banners for outdoor use

PVC banners are built for durability rather than portability: the material is weatherproof and hard-wearing, which makes it the right choice for anything that needs to survive outdoors, a building wrap, a temporary shopfront, an event backdrop fixed to a frame or fence.

Eyelets are the standard way to hang a PVC banner, spaced around the edges so it can be tied, hooked or cable-tied to a structure. For anything going up outdoors for more than a day or two, hemmed edges are worth choosing over a raw cut edge, since a reinforced hem resists tearing and flapping in the wind far better.

Colour can shift slightly when printed at very large sizes compared with how it looks on a small screen proof, so for a banner where exact colour matching matters, such as a brand-critical shopfront, ask us for a physical proof swatch before the full run.
