When to choose non-tearable poster stock

Non-tearable posters use a durable plastic-based material rather than standard paper, which makes them the right choice for anywhere a poster might get handled, brushed against, or exposed to a little damp, a shop entrance, a busy corridor, or outdoor-adjacent display where standard paper would tear or wilt within days.

The material has a slightly different look and feel to standard paper, a subtle sheen and more rigidity, which some customers prefer for a longer-lasting display piece even indoors. It costs more than standard paper, so it's worth reserving for posters that genuinely need the extra durability rather than a short-term promotion.

Colour and finish on plastic-based poster stock

Because the surface differs from standard paper, colours can render very slightly differently, so if exact colour matching matters for a brand-critical poster, ask us for guidance on how your design will look on this material before committing to a large run.

If a poster will be handled by children, displayed in a school or nursery, or used somewhere it's likely to be touched repeatedly, non-tearable stock is usually worth the extra cost over standard paper, which tends to tear or crease within days under that kind of handling.
