For outdoor trades, a moisture-wicking polyester option keeps staff more comfortable in hot weather, while standard cotton is usually fine for indoor or lighter physical work. If your team works in conditions that are hard on clothing, mud, paint, regular washing, it's worth ordering a slightly heavier weight garment even if it costs a little more, since it will need replacing less often.

Workwear is worn all day, often over other layers or with tool belts and equipment, so a slightly looser fit is usually more practical than a fitted, fashion-cut shirt. If your team wears shirts over thermal layers in colder months, it's worth sizing up slightly for those garments rather than using the same size as a summer-only shirt.
